SSC CGL Tier 1 cut off marks are decided based on number of candidates who appeared in exam, difficulty level of exam and vacancies released for various posts including JSO, Statistical Investigator Grade-II & Other Posts.Β

Q: Β  When will SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 Cutoff be released?
A:

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL cutoff with the result PDF. The Commission released the category-wise SSC CGL cutoff for all the post-groups with the result. The Commission released the Tier 1 cutoffs separately for all the post groups and categories.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 was conducted till October 14.

Q: Β  Which post has the highest cutoff in the SSC CGL exam?
A:
Usually, the SSC CGL cutoff for the post group of Assistant Audit Officer is the highest, followed by Junior Statistical Officer and other posts. The AAO post group govern the highest pay scale in the SSC CGL exam and hence the competition level is the highest for this post group. The candidates should note that the cutoff depends on the number of vacancies for a particular post group. If the number of vacancies is high for the AAO post group, its cutoff can decrease.
Q: Β  What is the SSC CGL cutoff?
A:
SSC CGL cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate needs to qualify for their respective stage/tier of the exam. In other words, we can say that the SSC CGL cutoff is the marks of the last selected candidate in a particular category. These marks differ for each post group. SSC CGL cutoff depends on the number of vacancies in the exam. A higher number of vacancies means a lower cutoff for each stage of the exam because the Commission will be required to select a higher number of candidates in each stage.
