The provisional answer key for the SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1, including re-exam, is set to be released soon on the official portal ssc.digialm, with an objection window expected to open shortly after.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) today completed re-exam for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 Tier-1 today, October 14, following cancellations due to technical disruptions and a fire incident during original exam held from September 12 to 26.

The re-test covered around 55,000 affected candidates across multiple centres in India, with admit cards made available from October 9 on regional SSC websites.

Candidates can raise challenges by paying Rs 100 per question during the stipulated period, as per SSC guidelines. SSC CGL exam has been held to fill 14,582 vacancies in Group B and C posts, including Income Tax Inspector position now classified under Group B, with applications closing on July 4.

As per SSC, out of around 28 lakh applicants, close to 13.5 lakh appeared for initial Tier-1 across 255 centres in 126 cities over 45 shifts. However, disruptions affected specific sessions as a fire incident occurred at centre in Mumbai on September 26 which halted one shift. Technical glitches like server crashes and login errors impacted around 25 shifts all over India, leading to October 14 rescheduling for verified cases by SSC.

There were also reports of malpractice at certain exam centers, including attempts of remote access, SSC later debarred those candidates. Aadhaar based authentication was done throughout SSC CGL exam to verify identity of candidates.

SSCCGL Tier-2 is likely to be conducted in January 2026, with results expected in June. Candidates are advised to monitor ssc.gov.in for tier-1 answer key and other updates related to the exam.

Candidates can calculate their marks using the SSC CGL answer key by comparing their answers with the correct answers given in the key. They can also use the marking scheme provided by the Commission to calculate their marks. The final marks of the candidates are calculated after the normalization process.

The Commission will release the tentative answer key on October 15. The Commission will also release the candidate's response sheet with the official answer key. The Commission will also ask the candidates to send objections against the incorrect answers given in the tentative answer key. After considering the objections, the Commission will prepare the final answer key and based on that the SSC CGL answer key.

The Staff Selection Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam in October/November 2025. The Commission is expected to release the SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key within a week from the exam end date. The candidates can see below the steps to download SSC CGL 2025 answer key:

Step 2: Click on the answer key notification

Step 3: Click on the answer key link given in the notification

Step 4: Click on the Submit button

Step 5: Enter user ID (roll number mentioned on the admit card) and password (mentioned on the admit card)

Step 6: Click on the Login button
