SSC Stenographer Exam: The Staff Selection Commission will begin conducting the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D exam from tomorrow, August 6, 2025. The SSC Steno 2025 computer-based test (CBT) is scheduled to be held across four shifts each day from August 6 to 8 at various exam centres nationwide. Candidates are advised to report to their respective centres at least one hour before their allotted shift, as entry will not be permitted once the gates are closed. Aspirants appearing for the SSC Stenographer Tier 1 exam should familiarise themselves with the updated exam-day guidelines, required documents, and key instructions well in advance to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 Reporting & Timings
Candidates must follow the below-mentioned SSC Steno exam reporting time here:
- Reach SSC Stenographer exam centre at least 60 to 90 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
- Late arrivals may not be allowed entry, so factor in additional time for traffic, security checks, and biometric verification.
Documents to Carry for SSC Stenographer Exam 2025
Make sure to carry the following items while appearing for SSC Stenographer 2025:
- Printed SSC Steno admit card
- Valid photo ID proof: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, etc.
- Passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in the application form, as a backup)
- Transparent water bottle, blue/black ballpoint pen if permitted
SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 Dress Code & Allowed Items
Candidates must keep in mind the following points:
- Wear simple, comfortable clothing without too many pockets or accessories.
- Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, or storage devices are strictly prohibited.
- Avoid carrying bags; only transparent pouches for stationery and documents may be allowed.
- Candidates with metallic implants should inform authorities in advance to avoid issues during frisking.
Guidelines to follow Inside SSC Stenographer Exam 2025 Exam Hall
- Read the instructions displayed on the computer screen carefully before attempting the paper.
- Maintain silence and discipline at all times.
- No rough work on the table/walls, use the sheets provided.
- Attempt all questions confidently; remember, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Do not attempt to leave early, unless permitted by the invigilator.
