UGC NET 2026 Application Closing Soon: NTA Reports Over 5.50 Lakh Registrations So Far

UGC NET December 2026 Registration: Online application window for UGC NET December 2026 session is closing soon. National Testing Agency has revealed that over 5.50 lakh candidates have registered since application process has started on October 8. Candidates are advised to fill application form at earliest and not wait for deadline. Last date to submit UGC NET application form is October 28 until 11:50 pm.
According to NTA till now
- 5,50,048 candidates have registered
- 3,73,419 have completed application and paid fee
- 1,36,993 are yet to upload their photograph and signature and pay fee
- 31,580 have uploaded their photograph and signature but have not paid the fee
Candidates who have only registered or uploaded documents should complete the remaining steps before the deadline because application without fee payment is incomplete.

- Register with your email ID and mobile number and note down application number
- Log in and fill in personal, academic and exam centre details
- Upload a scanned photograph and signature as per specifications
- Pay fee online
- Submit form and download confirmation page
Important points for candidates
- Use personally used email ID and mobile number. NTA will send all notifications to it only.
- Don't wait for last day to fill application form. Heavy traffic can slow website near deadline.
- Check all details carefully. UGC NET application form correction window will be open only from November 2 to 4.
