UGC NET 2026 Shift 1 Day 1 Exam Analysis

UGC NET June 22 Shift 1 Exam 2026: National Testing Agency concluded first shift of UGC NET June 2026 exam today on June 22. Candidates who appeared for Computer-Based Test (CBT) shared their initial reactions. UGC NET exam was moderate. Paper 1 was easier than Paper 2.

UGC NET June 2026 is being conducted from June 22 to June 30 for determining eligibility of candidates for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.

Many candidates found Paper 1 to be balanced with application-based questions. Many subject papers in Paper 2 needed more understanding. UGC NET difficulty level of Paper 2 was different for different subjects. Candidates reported that UGC NET paper 2 questions were syllabus-based. Some papers had analytical questions instead of direct factual ones.
