National Testing Agency is expected to release the UGC NET 2026 notification for the June session in April 2026. It will be released on official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The notification will be released in PDF. It will include important information such as exam dates, eligibility criteria, fee details, application process, syllabus and exam pattern.
It gets released with online application window opening shortly after the release of official notice. Once the dates are out, candidates will be required to complete the registration process online, upload required documents and pay application fee within the given deadline.

UGC NET is conducted twice every year in June and December. It is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in universities and colleges across India. The exam is held as Computer Based Test. It includes two papers conducted in a single session.
They should keep their academic documents, scanned photographs, signatures and category certificates ready in advance to avoid last minute issues during the application process.
