NTA has announced UGC NET December 2026 exam dates. As per notice released, UGC NET Dec exam is scheduled from December 14 to 19 and December 20 and 21 are kept as buffer dates.
UGC NET Exam Dates 2026 Dec Session
UGC NET Dec 2026 Exam: National Testing Agency has announced exam dates for UGC NET December 2026 session. As per schedule, UGC NET exam will be conducted from December 14 to December 19, 2026. NTA will conduct UGC NET 2026 exam in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates will be required to appear for UGC NET Dec session on date and shift allotted to them.
The UGC NET examination will be conducted to determine candidates' eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes, as applicable under the UGC NET framework.

Along with main UGC NET examination dates, NTA has kept December 20 and December 21, 2026, as buffer dates for the UGC NET December 2026 exam. Buffer dates are generally kept by NTA to accommodate any requirement for conducting exam beyond originally scheduled dates. Candidates should, therefore, keep these dates in mind while planning their examination-related schedule.
UGC NET Dec Admit Card 2026 and Exam City Slip
NTA is expected to release UGC NET December 2026 exam city intimation slip and admit card separately on official website. UGC NET 2026 city slip will provide information about examination city. Also, UGC NET admit card will contain details such as candidate's examination centre, date, shift and reporting time.
They should note that UGC NET exam city intimation slip is not the admit card. They will have to download and carry the admit card to the examination centre along with the required documents.
