UGC NET June Exam 2026: This year, as many as 67 out of 150 questions in UGC NET English paper were allegedly repeated from an exam conducted two years ago, as per media updates. All 67 repeated questions appeared in UGC NET English Paper II, with both questions and answer options remaining exactly same as those in earlier exam.

National Testing Agency (NTA) had not issued any official statement regarding these allegations. UGC NET exam is held for two papers. Paper I is common for all candidates and have 50 questions on teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reasoning and general awareness. Paper II contains 100 subject basec questions. 

Grammatical Errors Reported in UGC NET Sociology Paper

National Testing Agency is also facing criticism over UGC NET Sociology paper held on June 30, after several candidates alleged that it had spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and questions were poorly framed.

According to media report, candidates pointed out typographical errors in UGC NET Sociology  question paper. The names of well known sociologists and commonly used academic terms were allegedly printed incorrectly. Some of reported errors were"Ritzer" being printed as "Putzer", "social" as "oval", "Parsons" as "Parsow", "Ghurye" as "Ghunye", "A R Desai" as "A K Desai".

Candidates also claimed that Hindi translation of many questions was inaccurate and difficult to understand. Some further alleged that UGC NET paper had topics and thinkers outside syllabus and questions that did not match objectives of exam.
