UPSC 2026 CSE, IFS: Union Public Service Commission has released official notification for Civil Services Examination and Indian Forest Service on February 4, 2026. According to notification registration window will close on February 24.

UPSC notification includes details about the recruitment in Indian Forest Service and Civil Services through prelim exam. Eligible candidates can applyby visiting official website - upsconline.nic.in. There are total of 933 vacancies to be filled through the CSE exam.

UPSC CSE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Following are eligiblity criteria for Civil Services Examination:

  • The age limit of candidate should be between 21 to 32 years.
  • They must hold graduate degree from recognized university.
  • For reserved category candidates, age relaxation will be as per government rules.

Steps to Apply For UPSC CSE, IFS 2026

  • Visit official website upsconline.nic.in
  • Candidates must register by entering basic details.
  • Enter personal, communication and educational details
  • Upload required photograph, documents and signature
  • Pay application fee online
  • Submit form and save confirmation page.

Application fee is INR 100 for candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections categories including SC, ST and female categories.
The exam will be held on May 24, 2026. The number of vacancies for IAS will be 180 and for IPS it will be 150. The cutoffs directly get impacted by the number of vacancies. The service wise vacancies will be out later.
