Allahabad University has released the admission criteria through CUET UG 2026. Students seeking admission to Undergraduate course of AU through CUET must check eligibility criteria. CUET UG 2026 registrations have commenced online at cuet.nta.nic.in.
CUET 2026 Allahabad University Admission
University of Allahabad has officially notified that CUET 2026 language- Hindi or English along with the CUET General Aptitude Test will be compulsory for admission to all Undergraduate (UG) programmes through CUET UG 2026. The announcement has been made for UG admissions for the academic session 2026-27 through CUET scores. As per the official notification, no UG admissions will be conducted through any other mode apart from CUET 2026. National Testing Agency has officially commenced CUET registration 2026 on January 03. Candidates must fill the application form and appear for exam for admission to Allahabad University or any Central Universities. CUET 2026 will be held from May 11 to May 31.
CUET UG 2026 Mandatory for Allahabad University UG Admissions
The University of Allahabad clarified that admissions to all UG programmes will be conducted exclusively through the Common University Entrance Test 2026, in compliance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education. All undergraduate programmes of the university are offered under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) framework, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Allahabad University Admission 2026: Compulsory CUET Subjects
While filling the CUET UG 2026 application form, candidates aspiring for admission to Allahabad University must follow following CUET subject selection rules:
- Hindi or English is compulsory
- General Aptitude Test (GAT) is compulsory
- In addition to language and GAT, only ONE domain subject will be considered for preparation of merit
- Programme-specific subject requirements must be selected strictly as prescribed by the university
Note: incorrect subject combinations may result in rejection during counselling.
CUET UG langauge section will now consist of 13 languages instead of 33 languages. The 13 langauges of CUET UG 2026 are: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Whereas, the languages which have been deleted are: Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Janpanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Persian, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Spanish, Tibetan, Sanskrit.

NIRF 2- Jawaharlal Nehru University
NIRF 4- Jamia Millia Islamia
NIRF 6- Banaras Hindu University
NIRF 5- University of Delhi
NIRF 10- Aligarh Muslim University
