Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has set up helpline numbers to help all those who are in need or have queries about the novel coronavirus.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has set up helpline numbers to help all those who are in need or have queries about the novel coronavirus. 

In order to combat coronavirus, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has set up helpline numbers to help those in need. These helpline numbers can be used by an individual to get his/her queries addressed about COVID-19 as well.

Professor Mujahid Beg, Dean Students Welfare and Chief Vigilance Officer, AMU, has said that on the directive given by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor, administrative offices helpline numbers have been set to fight Covid-19. 

The helpline numbers are Dr. Najmul Huda Khan (University Health Service: 9412535633), Inamur Rehman (MAS, AMU, EXT. No 4050, 9358255075), Duty Writer on duty and Dr. Zafar Iftikhar, Assistant Proctor (Proctor Office, 9837000614), Principal and CMS (JN Medical College Hospital, 0571-2721934), Dr. Mohd Danish Azmi, Assistant DSW ( DSW Office AMU, 8909654800).

Helpline for Controller Office of admission and examination; M Faisal Fareed Assistant Controller (9452040956).

Earlier, AMU had rescheduled all ongoing examinations and evaluation work after March 31, following the orders of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and the University Grants Commission (UGC). 

On March 18, MHRD had asked UGC and other regulatory bodies to take all the precautionary steps to avoid the spread of COVID-19. It has also asked all the schools, colleges, universities and other education centers to remain closed until further notice.

As per the UGC notice, all educational institutions should reschedule their examination and evaluation work after March 31, and in a meantime, they should maintain proper electronic communication between students and the teachers to avoid any anxiety due to coronavirus.
