As per students' reaction, the difficulty level of CUET UG 2026 English exam is between easy and moderate. However, students are finding it difficult to answer all questions in the RC.

The second shift of fourth day of Common University Entrance Test has ended. Candidates will soon be able to check the subject-wise question paper analysis and memory-based questions.

National Testing Agency has officially concluded CUET UG exam 2026 for May 14, Shift 1. Check below to know subject-wise exam analysis:

NTA will tentatively release the CUET UG 2026 result in first week of July 2026. Candidates will be able to download their scorecard at cuet.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET Answer Key (provisional) and response sheet of each candidate after the Common University Entrance Test for all dates is over. The expected release date for provisional answer key is third week of June 2026.

NTA has ended the CUET UG 2026 May 14 exam for two subjects of Shift 1. Students are now solving questions of their third subject.

CUET applicants who have their exam today in the second shift must reach their exam centre before the gate closing time. For the second shift, the exam centres will close their entry gates at 2:30 PM.

The University of Delhi will open its DU CSAS UG Portal 2026, tentatively in the third week of June 2026. Delhi University usually does not wait for NTA to release the result and opens its registration Phase 1 soon after the exam is over.

The Common University Entrance Test for Day 4, Shift 1 exam will conclude at 12 PM. Once the exam is over, candidates will be allowed to exit the exam centre and the next shift entry will begin at 1 PM.

Exam centres will close their entry gates at sharp 8:30 AM. Once the gates are closed, no excuses will be entertained and candidates outside the exam centre will have to miss their exam.

NTA allotted exam centres have opened their gates for candidates to be in a queue and get their verification and frisking done to take the exam at 9 AM.

NTA will provide candidates with blank sheets to perform rough work or calculations during exam. At the top of the sheet, test takers have to write their name and roll number. Once the exam is over, candidates must hand over their rough sheets to the invigilator on duty.

Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 exam must strictly avoid following mistakes to avoid getting disqualified:

• Do not carry the prohibited items like electronic items
• Do not carry any personal belongings like a bag, wallet, handbag, etc

• No food or medical equipment is allowed unless medically permitted
• Do not wear footwear with high heels and long-sleeved clothes at the exam centre 

All CUET exam centres conducting CUET UG 2026 May 14 exam for Shift 1 will open their entry gates in 2 hours. Candidates have to participate in the verification and frisking process to enter the exam hall.

National Testing Agency is conducting Common University Entrance Test in computer based test mode. Under this mode, candidates have to select the right answer to a question on a computer screen, using a mouse. Once the time is over, the answer sheet is automatically submitted.

NTA will use following marking scheme to calculate a candidate’s raw scores:

• Candidates will be awarded 5 marks for each correct answer
• There is a negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
• No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.
• If more than one option is found correct, 5 marks will be awarded to those who have marked any of correct options.
• If all options are found correct, 5 marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted question.
• If none of the options is found correct/ Dropped, 5 marks will be awarded to students who have attempted question.

According to National Testing Agency guidelines, candidates can only take a transparent water bottle, ball point pen, admit card, photo ID proof, self-declaration form, and any other form (if required). For eatables, there are some exceptions for diabetic students. To avoid any confusion, candidates are advised to check the official notice on exam day instructions.

There are no optional questions in CUET UG 2026 question paper. Candidates are required to answer all 50 questions per subject within 60 minutes. However, while selecting an option for a question, they must keep negative marking in mind.

Students taking Common University Entrance Test must remember to take a hard copy of their CUET hall ticket and original photo ID proof, along with any self-declaration form (if required). Failure to do so will result in denial from entry to examination hall.

Candidates are required to follow CUET dress code to enter the examination hall. Below is the code as per NTA guidelines:

• Wear white, light clothing
• Woollens are allowed (after frisking process)
• Normal shows, slipper and low heels footwer are preferred
• Articles or objects of faith such as Kalava are allowed (after frisking process)

Follow these steps to avoid lowering your score due to negative marking:

• Go through the question paper and identify questions you know the answer to.
• Solve only those questions at first in which you are confident.
• Leave questions where you feel under-confident for last.
• If you have even a slight doubt about the answer, do not mark anything.

As per official NTA CUET UG 2026 exam schedule, the exam dates for Common University Entrance Test are May 11 to May 31, 2026.

As per students' reaction on CUET domain subjects analysis for Days 1, 2 and 3, almost all of the question paper is from NCERT books. Therefore, it can be said that the NCERT is enough for CUET preparations. However, if a candidate has time, going through other recommended books won't hurt.

Over the past three years, General Test has been the second most opted CUET UG subject among students. However, this year, it has become the fourth most opted subject with 9.12 lakh registrations only. 

As per students' reactions received until now, the CUET question papers of domain subjects are framed mostly based on NCERT curriculum and previous year question papers. However, they believe that the RCs in English paper are lengthy and time-consuming. In Economics, students are finding more questions from less-weightage topics like Money & Banking.

The overall difficulty level of CUET UG 2026 exam for all subjects combined seems to be moderate.
