CUET UG 2026 May 14 Exam Analysis

CUET UG 2026 May 14 exam for both shifts will be conducted by National Testing Agency in Computer-Based Test mode. The exam duration for first shift is 9 AM to 12 PM and for second shift is 3 PM to 6 M. The Common University Entrance Test (UG) is scheduled till May 13, 2026, for 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general test, across exam centres in India and abroad. Once the exams are over, NTA will release provisional answer key for candidates to calculate their estimated scores.
This year, more than 15 lakh students have registered with 12,906 different subject combinations for CUET UG exam. Students who appeared for the entrance test on May 11, 12 and 13 says that the CUET UG question paper is mostly based on NCERT books and PYQs. Solving mock tests and previous year question papers are proving to be really helpful to candidates.

    CUET UG 2026 May 14 Analysis: Is NCERT Enough for CUET Preparation?

    As per students' reaction on CUET domain subjects analysis for Days 1, 2 and 3, almost all of the question paper is from NCERT books. Therefore, it can be said that the NCERT is enough for CUET preparations. However, if a candidate has time, going through other recommended books won't hurt.

    CUET UG 2026 Exam: How are Students Finding CUET 2026 Difficulty Level?

    As per students' reactions received until now, the CUET question papers of domain subjects are framed mostly based on NCERT curriculum and previous year question papers. However, they believe that the RCs in English paper are lengthy and time-consuming. In Economics, students are finding more questions from less-weightage topics like Money & Banking.

    The overall difficulty level of CUET UG 2026 exam for all subjects combined seems to be moderate.

    Q:   How can I check my CUET exam centre?

    Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. The name of exam centre will be mentioned on the intimation alip in advance to help candidates make preparations accordingly. The CUET 2026 admit card is expected to release three to four days prior to the day of examination in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the following details on the release of CUET 2026 admit card:

    2. Registration number
    3. Category
    4. Location
    5. Date of exam

    The CUET General Test is moderate in difficulty level. The exam is not very difficult if the candidate is prepared well for the exam. CUET General Test includes topics like percentages, profit & loss, ratio & proportions, time & work, simple compound & interest and may more topics in class 12th NCERT curriculum.
