The Common University Entrance Test for UG admissions 2026 will begin today at 9 AM for May 19, Shift 1 exam. National Testing Agency is administering CUET UG 2026 in 35 shifts, scheduled in 21 days across multiple exam centres in India and abroad. - Exam Duration: 60 minutes

CUET Marking Scheme
The marking scheme to be followed for paper evaluation is:
- +5 marks for every correct answer
- -1 for every incorrect answer
- 0 for every incorrect and unattempted question

CUET UG 2026 May 19 Exam: Documents to Carry at Centre
Candidates have to carry below documents with them to their CUET exam centre:
- CUET Admit Card 2026
- Self-declaration form
- Two passport-size photographs
- Original valid photo ID proof
- PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
Note: The ID proof must be the same as the one uploaded in CUET application form.

Is NCERT Enough for CUET 2026 Preparation?
According to the question paper analysis of Common University Entrance Test from May 11 to May 18, it can be said that NCERT is enough. As of now, no shift has seen out of the syllabus topics or questions. So, for CUET UG domain subjects, if a student has thoroughly prepared NCERT books, they will be able to solve answers.

- Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
- Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
- Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
- If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
- If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

Candidates appearing for first shift must reach their allotted exam centre before 8:30 AM (gate closing time). No entry will be allowed once centre gate closes.

The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer.
