Delhi University and AMD have collaborated to train up to 10,000 students in Artificial Intelligence. This year-long collaboration will offer training in building, testing, and deploying AI solutions at zero cost to the university.
Delhi University (DU) has announced an educational partnership with semiconductor company AMD. The university has collaborated with the organisation to provide advanced artificial intelligence (AI) training to students. This will be a one-year collaboration that aims to upskill up to 10,000 DU students for the future. The DU AI training program will be offered at no cost to the university. This programme will ensure that students can learn high-tech skills without any financial burden. Both students and faculty members will get direct access to tools used for developing AI and high-performance computing applications.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both was signed on Thursday. AMD will introduce its global "AI Engage Developer Program" at DU. Participants will get experience in building, testing, and deploying real-world AI solutions.
DU AI Training News: Free Access to AMD ROCm Platform and GPU Credits
Students and faculty will get access to learning resources and technical workshops. AMD is also providing its open-source ROCm software platform. This platform includes software, libraries, compilers, and developer tools. Students will use these tools to build and run applications on AMD graphics processors. Furthermore, the company is offering cloud-based graphics processing unit (GPU) credits. These credits will allow students to run AI models smoothly in the cloud.
