Interested Indian researchers can apply for the Joint Call for Research Proposal on or before September 3, 2024, through email and hard copy at Indian Council of Social Science Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi 110067.
ICSSR India and JSPS Japan have collaborated with the aim of forming sustained networks evolved from individual social scientist exchanges including young social scientists. The authorities are inviting applications for Joint Call for Research Proposals for the year 2025.
Interested Indian researchers can apply on or before September 3, 2024, through email and hard copy. The offiline application form is available at the official website icssr.org. Students have to submit their application form at the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi 110067.
Eligibility Criteria for Research Proposal
The eligibility criteria for the joint research proposal is provided below:

With the exception of fieldwork or presentation of research reports on Joint Research Projects in an international conference, travel costs to third countries are not covered. |

Selection Criteria for Research Proposal
The following criteria are utilized in the selection process:
- Scientific excellence of projects/seminars
- Participation of young researchers and contribution to fostering them
- Impact of outcomes on improving the quality of life, contributing to socioeconomic development, and/or solving prevailing social issues
- Feasibility and concreteness of the research plan and expectation of its advancing the research
ICSSR and JSPS will conduct separate reviews of the application form and the joint selection of students will be made accordingly.
