IGNOU Launches Startup Competition 2026: Check Eligibility & How to Apply

IGNOU Startup Competition 2026 has been launched. The application process has started. Students can check the eligibility and award details to fast-track their entrepreneurship goals. Eligible IGNOU students and alumni can know about the dual-round selection framework, cash prizes, and screening guidelines here. 

The Institution's Innovation Council under the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened applications for the IGNOU Startup Competition 2026. The National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE) will manage this nationwide initiative to promote commercial innovation. The program aims to transform commercial business ideas into companies. Because the university handles student batches across India, the IGNOU 2026 Startup Competition is available for all hidden business talent in the country.

IGNOU Startup Competition 2026: Eligibility and Guidelines 

The eligibility criteria for the IGNOU Startup Competition 2026 are that all current students and former alumni who have successfully established a running business venture can apply. They have to provide operational details of their company during registration. There will be two rounds: 

• Round One: An expert panel reviews primary registration details.
• Round Two: Shortlisted contestants receive a layout presentation template to prepare a live business proposal pitch.

The prize for the final round is the Best Startup Award 2026. Interested people can register at the IGNOU Startup Google Form. The last date to finalise submissions for the initial phase is August 31, 2026. Applicants can contact organisers directly via email at ncide@ignou.ac.in.
