IIT JAM 2026 application correction last date has been extended till November 13, 2025. Originally, the last date of the data change window was today, November 10, 2025. The window was opened on November 1, 2025.

Only those students who have completed IIT JAM 2026 application process between September 5 and October 20, 2025, will be eligible to make changes or corrections in the application form. IIT Bombay, the exam conducting body, has mentioned the fields where changes can be made.

IIT JAM 2026 Application Correction Editable Fields

The following fields can be changed or edited in IIT JAM 2026 application form:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Category
  • Exam City Choice
  • Exam Paper

IIT JAM 2026 Application Correction Process

To avail IIT JAM 2026 application correction facility, candidates have to follow the process below:

  • Go to the JOAPS portal or directly visit - https://joaps.iitb.ac.in/login
  • Log in with Enrolment ID or Email ID and password
  • Solve the arithmetic calculation
  • Click on Login tab
  • Click on Data Change tab
  • Make necessary changes
  • Click on Save

There is no separate fee required for application correction. IIT JAM 2026 admit card will be released on January 5, 2026. The exam will be conducted on February 15, 2026, for seven papers.

Q:   How to select examination centres upon filling IIT JAM application form?
A:

JAM 2026 Examination will be conducted in eight zones. The names of these eight zones with the list of zone-wise Examination Cities are listen on JAM 2026 exam centres (Probable Examination cities of JAM 2026). Candidates must specify their first, second and third choice of cities at the time of applying for JAM 2026. When the choice of first city is made, then the zone gets determined and the candidates will be able to choose the second and third choice city only from the same zone.

In case, any city in the choices is not allotted due to operational reasons, alternate city will be allotted. Candidates are requested to regularly check JAM 2026 website for updates regarding examination cities, if any.

Q:   How do I make corrections/modifications in IIT JAM application form?
A:

If candidates make any mistake in IIT JAM registration forms so they can correct it in the correction window. Here we have provided the process to correct the application form:

  • Visit the website of IIT JAM 2026 - joaps.iitb.ac.in 

  • Click on JOAPS portal or application form correction link.

  • Then click on the login button & enter the user ID and password.

  •  After login, you can change specific details in IIT JAM 2026 Application form.

  •  Save the changes and take the printout of the form for future uses.

Q:   What details can be edited after successful submission of IIT JAM 2026 application form?
A:

Successfully registered candidates of the IIT JAM 2026 application get an opportunity to modify the details that were earlier filled incorrectly in the JAM 2026 application form.
