The JOAPS portal has just released IIT JAM 2026 registration. Online registration for IIT JAM 2026 has been opened by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. You can check the official website: jam2026.iitb.ac.in

The registration link for IIT JAM 2026 is now active, and candidates can register and submit their forms through the JOAPS portal until October 20, 2025 (11.59 pm). Candidates are advised to complete their IIT JAM 2026 registration early to prevent any technical or internet issues on the last day to register.

IIT JAM Exam Dates 2026 Scheduled

The IIT JAM Exam Dates 2026 will be February 15, 2026. There will be two slots: The Morning slot will be from 9.30 am to 12:30 Pm. The second afternoon slot will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 PM. 

How to Fill IIT JAM 2026 Application Form

Students can follow steps below to complete IIT JAM 2026 registration:

  1. Go to the official JOAPS portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in 
  2. Upload documents, such as, recent passport-size photo, signature, category certificate (OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / PwD), and date of birth proof.
  3. Pay the application fee online.
  4. Go through the details and submit an IIT JAM application form 2026

Application fee 2026 for one and two test papers:

  • For Female / SC / ST / PwD One test paper is INR 1000 and for two test papers it is INR 1350. 
  • For All Other categories, one test paper is INR 2000 and for two test papers it is INR 2700.

    IIT JAM 2026 Application Form: Can Students Apply Offline?

    No, IIT JAM 2026 application forms will not be available in any offline mode. The entire IIT JAM registration process, including uploading documents and fee payment, will be conducted via the JOAPS portal. The authorities will not accept any request for registration in offline mode.

  • Q:   How to select examination centres upon filling IIT JAM application form?
    A:

    JAM 2026 Examination will be conducted in eight zones. The names of these eight zones with the list of zone-wise Examination Cities are listen on JAM 2026 exam centres (Probable Examination cities of JAM 2026). Candidates must specify their first, second and third choice of cities at the time of applying for JAM 2026. When the choice of first city is made, then the zone gets determined and the candidates will be able to choose the second and third choice city only from the same zone.

    In case, any city in the choices is not allotted due to operational reasons, alternate city will be allotted. Candidates are requested to regularly check JAM 2026 website for updates regarding examination cities, if any.

    Q:   How to pay IIT JAM application fee?
    A:

    Candidates shall make the payment using Net-banking, debit or credit card or UPI till October 25, 2025.
