IIT JAM 2026 Counselling Process
IIT JAM Counselling Registration 2026: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will start IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration online from March 27 (tomorrow). Candidates need to visit JOAPS portal to complete their IIT JAM counselling registration 2026. Only those who have obtained qualifying cutoff marks or more than that in their respective category will be eligible to participate in IIT JAM counselling 2026.
Last date to complete IIT JAM counselling registration is April 15, 2026. Based on IIT JAM counselling forms submitted, first admission list will be released on May 25, 2026. Through IIT JAM counselling, more than 3000 seats in 105 postgraduate courses across 22 IITs will be filled. Admissions will be given for courses like MSc, MSc Tech, Joint MSc-PhD, dual degree and integrated PhD programmes.

IIT JAM 2026 Counselling Process
As per official update, there will be four rounds of IIT JAM counselling 2026. However, if seats remain vacant, additional rounds may be conducted. Applicants receiving an offer in any of IIT JAM counselling rounds have to choose any one of these three options
- Accept and Freeze
- Accept with Upgrade
- Reject and Quit
Further, they can check their status by visiting official website. Those who chose Accept and Upgrade in the previous round can view their current IIT JAM seat allocation at official website.
