Students looking the OUAT 2027 admission at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) are still waiting for an official schedule. The 2026 cycle, though, gives a fair idea of what to expect in OUAT 2027 intake.
In 2026, the applications opened in April. The registration deadline was pushed to May 20, with fee payment allowed until May 21, and the entrance test ran from June 9 to June 11. The lesson for next year's applicants is to apply early rather than wait for an extension. The process also had two stages: Form A for the entrance exam and Form B for counselling and admission.
Competition was tightest for flagship seats. In recent cut-offs, the general-category B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture seats at Bhubaneswar opened at a percentile of 77.167 and closed at 72.542. The Chiplima and Bhawanipatna campuses closed slightly lower, which made them easier to get into. Veterinary science was even steeper, with general-category BVSc closing ranks at Bhubaneswar stopping around 150.
Not every seat went in the main rounds. OUAT held UG spot counselling on September 29 and September 30, 2026, with registration closing on September 22. Students who missed their first choice still had a second chance.
Eligibility is unlikely to change much. Applicants must be 17 by December 31 of the admission year. Students still sitting their Class 12 exams can apply, but must produce their final mark sheet at counselling. Agriculture and horticulture courses ask for Physics, Chemistry and either Maths or Biology in Class 12. Total intake last year was around 725 seats across all courses.
Students should treat third-party 2027 calendars as guesses until OUAT publishes its own notification. The university's official portal remains the only reliable source for dates, fees and seat numbers.
