UP Schools reopening: Decision on resuming offline classes for Class 6 to 12 in next 10 days

Uttar Pradesh School Reopening: Uttar Pradesh government has announced that it is considering reopening the schools in the state and the decision to resume classes for Classes 6 to 10 will be announced in the next ten days. The Chief Minister's office said that the classes will be resumed only after doing a complete evaluation of the COVID-19 situation in the state.
The official Twitter handle of CMO UP has tweeted, “According to the guidelines of the Government of India, the schools should be considered for starting classes from class 6 to class 12 in the next 10 days. These classes should be started only after a thorough assessment of the situation.”
It must be noted that this is not the first time that the schools will be reopened amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in October, the schools had reopened for Classes 9 to 12 in a graded manner. The schools along with the coaching institutes, outside the containment zones, were allowed to reopen in the state after October 15, 2020. SOPs were issued by the state government and centre for reopening.
This time too, the schools are expected to follow all the standard operating procedures set before and after reopening. As per the SOPs issued in October, the classes were to be held in shifts and all necessary protocols including social distancing and proper sanitization of premises will have to be followed by schools. Half of the students will attend the classes on one day and the remaining half the next day.
Meanwhile, UP Board Exams 2021 will start from today.The UPMSP will be conducting the practical examinations for UP Board 12th from February 3 to 22, 2021. The practical examinations will be held in two stages and have been divided on the basis of zones. The UP Board 10th practical examinations will be based on internal assessment.
The UP Board 10th Time Table 2021 and UP Board 12th Time Table 2021 have not been announced yet. However, it is expected to be released anytime soon.
