11 more courses at SRM University

SRM University is all set to launch 11 new courses from the upcoming academic year. Few dual degrees and integrated courses have also been planned.

The new courses to be introduced this year are:

• Two four-year courses: BSc Renal Dialysis Technology and BSc Radiology & Imaging Technology;
• Two-year courses: MSc Medical Physics programme, MSc Econometrics, MA International Studies and MCom Finance and Accounts;
• Three diploma programmes -- diploma in politics, leadership and political entrepreneurship;
• Two diplomas on value education;
• International Tamil teachers' diploma.

Three MTech programmes, including food safety and quality management, and in renewable and solar photovoltaic technology; a dual degree that will help candidates get a Master of Health Management and an MBA degree at the end of the course, and a five-year integrated MBA are in the pipeline.

The results of the entrance examination have been declared. Counselling for BTech course will begin on June 1, and as many as 60,000 candidates will be called for counselling in batches of 4,000 a day, informed Chancellor TR Pachamuthu.
