Yes, there is sectional weightage in the ACAT exam. There are four sections in the ACAT question paper. There is a total of 100 MCQs in the ACAT exam and each sections has 25 multiple-choice questions each. Each question will carry three marks which makes a total of 75 marks per sections and 300 marks overall.

ACAT or Amrita MBA exam will be conducted in CBT Test mode.
ACAT question paper will be in English and will have 100 MCQs with four options each. 3 marks will be given for correct answers and one mark will be subtracted for incorrect answer.

The amount of time required for ACAT or Amrita MBA Entrance Exam preparation can be different according to the existing knowledge, knowing the exam pattern, and student's ability to understand the concepts being tested. Generally, students spend two to six months preparing for the ACAT exam. The syllabus of the ACAT exam is not very difficult. The ACAT exam is conducted in a CBT test mode across as many as 40 test cities in the country. The exam is conducted for admission to the MBA programme offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. There is no provision of the ACAT exam being conducted offline. Students must visit the exam centre to take the exam online.

The ACAT exam is a time based exam. The ACAT question paper has 100 multiple-choice questions in total. The question paper is to be completed in 150 minutes or two hours and 30 minutes. Candidates appearing for the ACAT exam, must adhere to the exam timings and ensure reaching the exam centre at least an hour before the exam begins. Candidates will not be allowed to the enter the examination hall once the gates close neither will they be given extra time. They must also keep in mind the negative markings.
