Sharda University offers a full-time BCom at the UG level. Admission to the course is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria specified by the university. As per the specified eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to BCom at Sharda University must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% with Commerce or Mathematics as a subject. Hence, Mathematics is not compulsory for BCom (Hons) admission at the university, provided that the applicants have passed Class 12 with Commerce.

K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce provides BCom admission to candidates who fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria specified by the college. As per the specified eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. The college has not specified any specific subject requirement to be eligible for admission to BCom. Hence, having studied Mathematics in Class 12 is not compulsory for BCom admission at K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce.
