If you opt for the writing and Science sections with your ACT test, then you will be tested on all 5 subjects of the test, i.e. English, Maths, Reading, Science and Writing. However, the fees of the ACT test with Science and Writing sections in 2025 for the non-US students is $221.50.

For Duke admissions 2025-26, international students are not required to submit a standardized test score such as the SAT or ACT, although those can significantly raise applicants' chances of receiving an offer from the university. International students can consider taking the SAT or ACT.

The following are considered ideal for this university:

Duke Entrance TestComposite Score Range
SAT1490 - 1560
ACT33 - 35

ACT exam centres are located across 15 cities of India and each city has atleast two test centres available for the exam. Applicants have the option to choose any one ACT exam centre in any one of the Indian cities only. The ACT exam dates may vary hence, availabilty of seats at the chosen exam centre may also vary, hence, applicants should be prompt when and where they wish to appear for the ACT exam.

Hi,
Yes, you can take ACT, no reason why you can't. First however check the admission requirements, check if ACT is required or not. It's basically required to study in USA.

Hi Devraj, You can take up acting classes or theaters on weekend for brushing up your acting skills. Once you are sure you are good at it, you can start giving auditions at productions houses and casting agencies on weekends. I would suggest you to not give up your job because acting is a tricky career. You might and might not end up doing well. So focus on the weekends.

SAT and ACT are standardised tests which students need to take if they are planning to study in the US. Not all universities require SAT/ACT. You can take the SAT or ACT by creating an account on the respective website Collegeboard.org for SAT and ACT.org for ACT.

The definition of a good ACT score varies from university to country. However, to get into the top 100 universities, you must aim for a score higher than 31 on the ACT.
