Candidates can pursue various diploma courses in theatre and acting after 12th. Some of the Diploma courses are Diploma in acting, direction, dramatic arts, screenwriting etc. Candidates can pursue these courses either online which is a short-term course or pursue full-time undergraduate degree from recognised colleges and universities. Some colleges require candidates to appear in entrance examinations in order to be eligible for Bachelor's programme. They must also produce their Class 10th and 12th certificates in order to finalise their admission in their desired college.

There is, however no 100 per cent placement guarantee by MIT School of Film and Theatre, ADT University. The facility for direct admission is not available at the MIT School of Film and Theatre, ADT University for B.Sc. in Film Making. Candidates need to pass through an entrance test. Besides the online aptitude test, a creative test is also conducted. Then, personal interview with respective candidates will be done based on which self-analysis and socio-political awareness of that particular candidate along with the knowledge about cinema will be checked. Applicant pursuing M.Sc. in Film Making at MIT School of Film and Theatre, ADT University should be a bachelor degree holder in any discipline or equivalent. Further they should clear the entrance tests held in the institute that are comprised of an online aptitude test, creative test and personal interview.
