Govt. schools of theatre and acting are a rare commodity in Jaipur. The Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) is a government-funded project devoted to cultural activities, organizing theatre-related workshops and short-lived acting courses through its Rangayan project. However, it is not strictly an acting school.

The Rajasthan School of Arts is a government institution affiliated with the University of Rajasthan and offers a degree course-B.A. in Dramatic Arts, specializing in theatre and performance.
