To be able to take admission in FTII Pune - one needs to be a graduate with any stream.
The admission is through entrance exam.
Courses available (all are PG Diploma courses) are:
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Direction & Screenplay Writing
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Design
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Editing
Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Acting
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design

Hi,
Not sure if you are graduate already or not. And, which city you belong to?
There are many government and private acting schools all over India. If you are looking at cost - then NSD, New Delhi is best as the students have to pay very nominal fees and the students are paid stipend on top.
National School of Drama (NSD) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture.
Eligibility for NSD Admission:
You should be graduate in any stream from a recognized university in India.
Your age must be between 21 to 40 years as on 1st august of the academic year.

You could enrol in the courses offered by
National School of Drama , Delhi.
This would provide you with both a degree as well as enough exposure for your career in the field of acting.
Or you can pursue mass communication courses as well.

You can go for media or mass communication or you can go for Indian Institute of Film in Pune. Its one of the good colleges in this field. Because of limited availability for seats competition is more. You need to have good acting skills and sound knowledge in this field to start a career.
