Aeronautical Science students are hired for various roles in the aviation industry and the salary package also differs according to their designation. Meanwhile, skills and experience also play an important role in deciding salary packages. The average salary of an Avionics Engineer is INR 6.9 LPA in India and of a Pilot is INR 35.4 LPA.

To join Aeronautical Science, a candidate should fill out the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test (AME CET) form. After clearing the AME CET Exam, according to the All India Rank (AIR) of AME CET, students will get admission to Aeronautics institutes.

Students can pursue certifications such as Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (ame), Air Traffic Control (ATC) License, and Aviation Management certifications. Along with B.Sc Aeronautical Science degree, these certifications offer practical experience and recognition in a specific work.

In B.Sc Aeronautical Science, you'll get to study subjects like Composition, Aircraft awareness and basics of simulators, Aircraft fuel and lubricants system, Physics, Aeroengine, Aircraft propellers, Aircraft structures and construction, Theory of Flight, Engineering drawing, Calculus, and more.

For MSc Aeronautical Science, a Bachelor's Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognised university with Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is mandatory. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.

To get admission to the BSc in Aeronautical Science course, you need to pass Class 12 in the Science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate score from a recognised board.

You cannot study Aeronautical Science without a Science stream in Class 12.  Science and Mathematics are necessary due to the technical and scientific nature of the field. Aeronautical Science programs usually require a strong base in subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as they form the basis for understanding aerodynamics, mechanics, materials science, and other crucial aspects of aircraft design and operation.

Aeronautical Science involves designing, developing, and maintaining aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and related systems. It covers aerodynamics, propulsion, materials, structures, and flight mechanics.

Computer Science deals with the theory, design, development, and application of software systems and computing technologies. It covers areas like algorithms, programming languages, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data science.
