The placements for aerospace engineers in India are really not good. Other than ISRO, there are hardly any employment opportunities. Hence, I would definitely advise you to look into this aspect before jumping in to become an aerospace engineer. Different colleges offering this branch unfortunately do not give out branch wise6 placements record, and hence it is difficult to estimate as to how many students of this branch have been placed fruitfully in their core area of learning.
Best wishes to you.

Yes, these days all colleges have placements cell. In fact one key factor for students giving preference is performance of college in placing it's students. MIT is no exception. With its heft and influence many top ranked companies make a beeline in this institution for recruitment of students. Best wishes to you.

This university in Bhubaneswar has a very vibrant and good placements cell. Due to this it is able to bring in lots of companies to the campus and as a result it claims 100% placements for those who wanted the job. I am attaching a link that will give you the statistics of KIIT about their placement activities. However the University has not given branch wise placements for whatever reasons. In spite of this I can say with certainty that placements for aerospace engineering are very hard to come by. However this is expected to improve with years to come as India progress on economic and industrialization front. Best wishes to you

Of course yes. DRDO recruits professionals from different fields to work in its wide spectrum of research labs. You will find different vacancies on its website. Normally, it's the GATE score that will decide your merit in the list of candidates shortlisted for the interview stage.
Best wishes to you.
