Hello Sujit,
Yes, you can seek admission in Aerospace engineering after Diploma in mechanical. Diploma is considered as equivalent to class 12th for admission to IIT and many colleges.

Hello Harsh,
These are the best two in India. Prospects are best here after passing out than anywhere in India. DRDO, ISRO, Armed Forces and some public or private companies also are recruiters.

Subjects that are taught in this courses are avionics, controls, structures, fluid dynamics amongst others. For research, you will have to reach Ph.D or get employment in DRDO.

In SRM, civil and aerospace both the engineering branches are good as both have nearly equal placement record, but I would suggest, you should pursue aerospace engineering as it has a very bright future in India in next 10 years. So, go with aerospace engineering or you can choose petroleum engineering in UPES.
