Shortlisting for admission at AIHM is done based on a composite score that includes entrance exam performance, academic background, and performance in the personal interview. Work experience and extracurricular achievements are also considered at given a certain amount of weightage. The PI and GD round holds the, most weightage in the score.

No, direct admission is not offered at Ahmedabad Institute of Hospitality Management. The admissions are entrance-based and candidates need to appear for either of the exams that are accepted by the institute. These include CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT or other common entrance examinations (if any) conducted by the respective state, however if the candidate have not appeared in any of these then it is mandatory to give the AIHM entrance exam or AEE to apply for admission.

After the candidate's application is successfully submitted, it is verified which includes all the documents and identity proof's verification and candidates may also be invited for AEE if needed. Once that is successfully done the candidates have to appear for the group discussion and personal interview round. The forms can sometimes get rejected as well if wrong information or documents are attached. Hence, it should be ensured that the details are filled correctly.
