There are over 90 colleges in the state of Jharkhand that offers MSc programmes. The PG-level course is available across different specialisations. Admission criteria can vary for the course from one university to another. Some of the university/college in Jharkhand that offers MSc courses are:

  • Capital University
  • Karim City College
  • Kolhan University
  • Vinoba Bhave University
  • Nilamber Pitambar University, etc.

Out of the two universities, AISECT University MSc fees is more economical. However, there is not a big difference in the course fee amount. Candidates can also refer to the following table for a comparison between MSc fees at both the universities:

The eligible candidates can apply for the PG programme in online and offline modes. To apply online, candidates can go to the official website of the university. For offline applications, candidates can go to the “University Office Hazaribagh”. An application fee of INR 400 has to be paid to obtain the application. Moreover, the fee amount can be paid in cash or through demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of AISECT University and is payable at Hazaribagh. The mentioned application/registration fee is as per past years' data and, hence, is indicative.

The university may offer course admissions on a merit-basis, primarily. Hence, the applicants performance in the UG degree course shall be evaluated for selection. For the MSc in Agriculture course, the selection can be entrance-based and hence, AJEE score of the candidates can be considered. The aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can proceed with application formalities. After this, the applications are evaluted and selection is done.

A merit/selection list is published to announce names of the selected candidates. These applicants can pay the admission fee amount to lock their seats.

The AISECT Group of Universities conduct AJEE exam in two cycles. Aspirants of MSc Agriculture at AISECT University should appear for the entrance test. The entrance exam is conducted in Jun and Jul month of the admission year. Aspirants should stay updated with admission schedule to avoid missing out an important event.

The university releases its applications in and around Mar. Aspirants of AISECT MSc course must submit their applications on or before the prescribed deadline. Moreover, the online registrations for AJEE begins in Mar as well. The registration window closes in the Apr month of the academic year.

AISECT University may offer admission to MSc programmes on a merit-basis. However, for the MSc in Agriculture course, candidates may have to take the AISECT Joint Entrance Exam (AJEE). Apart from this, the aspirants must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements.
