From the last few years the placement department of ECE is a matter of concern for the college. It is so because there is only one mass recruiter i.e Infosys and for last few years the intake of Infosys has fallen down. There comes various small companies but they don't meet up with the package requirement a student desire for.

Yes, there are chances that you will continue with your present allocated seat. This basically depends upon the number of students enrolled in the counseling process but there are still great chances that your seat will update.

See AKG is better as compared to KIET as in KIET the environment is not worth it. Placements at AKG are good. They have tie-ups with companies in all the stream and that's why placements is always good for the AKG as compared to KIET.

If you are looking for quality education without placements, then AKG is the perfect institute for you.
But if you are looking for placements too, then I will not recommend you to join the institute because Civil and Mechanical branches have the lowest placement record from the past few years with just 10-15% of placements.

Honestly speaking, AKG is a highly disciplined institution if you can survive in a disciplined background with the most focus on studies, then you should go for the institute, otherwise, there is another good option like- JSS, if you can make it within your rank.

In recent times, the record of placement of AKG is good in CS/IT branch as compared to other branches. It has been seen that almost 90% of CS/IT students get job offers in contrast to the 60% of ECE students and 10-15% for Civil and Mechanical.

KIET has better a placement record than AKG. KIET is Top colleges of AKTU (UPTU) and in KIET, labs are well-equipped and have all the required facilities that a department must have. Various workshops and seminars and conferences and guest lectures are organised from time to time.
