Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering 2025 will be held in two phases. Phase 1 will be tentatively in January & Phase 2 will be tentatively is May 2025. There are 6 engineering campuses under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, offering B.Tech programmes.

Yes, you can join Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai directly. Admission to the B.Tech programs offered at Amrita School of Engineering, including the Chennai campus, is based on the rank obtained in the Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) or through other qualifying exams as specified by the university.
 AEEE is conducted twice a year to get admission in Amrita school of Engineering. If students have a good rank in JEE MAIN they can get a direct admission in Amrita school of Engineering. Direct admission for GATE qualified students is also available, but no interview is required

Admission to B.Tech programs offered at Amrita School of Engineering – Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Nagercoil is based on the rank secured in Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2024 or JEE Mains Percentile 2024.
Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks.

  • There are different reservation categories for Indian students,  such as SC,  ST,  OBC,  and PwD. These categories often have lower cutoff scores than the general category.

 

In general, a 75 percentile in JEE is not considered high enough for admission to Amrita's most popular B.Tech programs, especially on the Coimbatore campus.
