B.Sc. Anesthesia technology is a graduate-level course. The duration of the course spans 3 years with a 6-month compulsory internship period. Distance or correspondence mode of education is not available as an anesthetist requires practical experience in monitoring the patients.
10+2 or equivalent education from a recognized board is mandatory. A 45% in each subject and an overall aggregate of 50% is required in mainstream Science subjects of Physics Chemistry and Biology. (may differ from university to university).
In some universities, the applicants are required to clear the entrance exam conducted by their own institution. Some of the institutions also grant admission based on the entrance exam test scores like NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) or CET (Common entrance test).
