3D animators create a plethora of animations, which may turn into major motion pictures, popular video games, or shorter animations for television or film. Many 3D animators create special effects for the film industry. A 3D animator can specialize in creating various types of animated images such as humans, objects, or focus on the background and landscapes of an animation.
In India, animation courses are available in three formats-

It is evident from the list that Bachelor's degree courses are BA, BFA, BVA and B.Sc. courses covering various aspects of animation and digital art. These courses chiefly cover topics like- animation, digital filmmaking, visual effects (VFX), 2D and 3D animation.
Duration: Bachelor's degree programs are UG degree courses. The course duration is 3 years.
Eligibility: Students who have cleared 10+2 (any stream- science, commerce or arts) from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course. Minimum marks criteria may exist in case of some institutes (around 50% marks).
