Congrats . Yes definitely joining an animation course must be a right choice , while selecting the course , make sure it covers up all the 3 domains ( pre production, production and post production ) in animation pipeline with complete VFX ( 2D & 3D ) I dont suggest any one for a graduation in animation , see loads of issues in getting a certificate , in time course completion or right time execution of exams . But a graduation these days is very important . Best option: join a graduation in any discipline , online / distance mode . Make sure the graduation course is recognized by UGC & same time join and complete a 3 years professiona

As he has passed out from commerce background , its good if he join a B COM or if possible BBA/BBM , i'm not sure from Arena which course he has done ! If its not a detailed long term course , then he can join a long term course ( 18 months to 3 years ) which should completely cover up in depth -preproduction production and post production domains in animation pipeline. & the graduation he can go for online / distance course ( but must be UGC recognized ) this will give him a good career .

The % is fine to start and build a career in Animation & VFX , whereas for Eng it may be slightly less of average . Animation also has a superb career scope but yes it is a very competitive field and you much keep yourself update to survive and grow in this industry.
