Basically a degree is of 6 sem or 36 months and Diploma duration is some thing between 1 year ( 2 sem ) / 12 months to 18 months ( 3 sem ) . Normally a degree has a language subject ( extra ) which is not seen in maximum of the diploma courses , more over surely a degree is having a coverage of more subjects and topics compare to a diploma .
In maximum of the cases we suggest a degree for the candidate who are just joining a course after 12th as they have good time in hand to build a solid career, but many people come to us , who has already done some other courses and not afford to invest 3 years , in such cases we suggest for a Diplo

Dear Jai, Salary is always depending on few factors, like your skills , the company. projects , location ( City ) etc, depending on all factors , it varies some where in between 8500 Rs to 35,000 Rs per month as a fresher . It is an approximate value.

Have you actually designed anything as yet? Before convincing your family, you need to be certain of few facts:
Studying abroad even for a diploma for a year will cost you 15 to 25k US dollars and for an average indian family, its a huge amount. Be doubly sure of your goal and think if you will be able to earn it back. Have an open discussion with them and if you know that's your passion, I am sure they will agree.

You can but you should have bachlor degree in any stream. If you are graduate I.e you had completed your B.A. or B.Sc. or B.Tech etc with 50% marks than you are eligible to get admission in MBA
