Every year, CoA holds NATA to choose candidates who can be admitted to the participating institutes as BArch students. Using a range of testing styles and questions, the examination will evaluate the candidate's intrinsic ability. In addition to evaluating the candidate's prior learning that is relevant to the particular field of study, NATA will also assist in determining the candidate's aptitude for a particular field of study, such as architecture, by testing cognitive abilities, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity, etc.

Candidates must secure at least 50% in the JCAT exam for admission to the JSDA courses. JCAT is an entrance exam for Jindal School of Design and Architecture (JSDA) at OP Jindal Global University. Students can take the exam if they don't have a valid score on other exams. The school shortlists candidates based on their scores and invites them for an interview. For the integrated BA + MArch course, shortlisted candidates need to go through a portfolio review as well. JCAT syllubis is structured around analytical thinking and reading of visuals and texts.
