Chandigarh University do arrange special workshops for students of industrial design. The department conduct activities like bamboo art workshop where students learn about use of material in design. Yes, yes campus is safe and secure for everyone be it Architecture or student of some other course or program. At the main GATE only there are 4 to 6 guards and near the main campus also there were 3-4 guards. The entry is also very strict as no one can enter without permission. The whole campus has CCTV cameras. The university has women cell which is run by a senior female teacher.  The cell takes care of all things related to women. If there is any issue, the Women's Cell helps. It also makes sure that there is an Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee. This committee looks after serious cases. No bad behavior is allowed, and strict action is taken if needed.I also heard that several talks, seminars and workshops are organized at the university for both female students and staff members where self-defense is taught. The environment at Chandigarh University is really very safe.
