Admissions to IIITM Gwalior is offered on the basis of valid entrance scores of the accepted exams. For courses such as MTech, candidates must qualify for GATE exam with a valid score. Candidates need to go for CCMT counselling for the final allocation of the Institute, based on the preferences drawn by the candidate. Once a seat is allotted, the candidate must report to the allotted institute within the specified timeframe, pay the admission fee, and complete the admission formalities.

MBA admissions at IIITM Gwalior require students to have a valid UG degree from a recognised university. Students must have at least 60% aggregate or CGPA of 6.0 with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects. The eligibility criteria to get admission into MTech courses at IIITM Gwalior is candidares must have completed their BTech degree or equivalent with a minimum aggregate 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale) for Gen/ EWS/ OBC-NCL whereas 55% marks (or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ ST/ PwD. Furthermore, GATE and CCMT are the entrance exam and counselling process that are accepted for admission to IIITM Gwalior M.Tech courses.
