Indian Institute of Aeronautics is perhaps the oldest institute to give training for becoming Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or AME. Started almost more than 40 years ago, it has produced many AME's who are now in almost all carriers operating out of India. It has two campuses, one in Delhi and other in Patna. This institute boasts of the trained and experienced faculty.

Even though this academy offers more than 10 different courses, none of them is for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or AME hence I am afraid one can not join this academy for becoming AME. On the other hand, Ahmedabad Aviation and Aeronautics, Ahmedabad is based in Ahmedabad with access to the airport here as well as access to the airport at Mehasana. This contingency enables this academy to complete flying syllabus earlier than many other flying schools. As per my knowledge, this would definitely be an advantage.
