The minimum qualification required to apply in BA at CMS is pass in the Class 12 examination. For taking admission in BA there is no subject requirement/combination mentioned on the college official website. Candidate from any stream in higher secondary are eligible to apply for BA at CMS Coimbatore.

Eligibility criteria is minimum requirement that a candidate should fulfil for taking admissions. For applying in BA courses at CMS Coimbatore, the candidate must clear Class 12 examination conducted by Govt. or Tamil Nadu or equivalent exam pass from a recognised board of education. The CMS College of Science and Commerce BA admission is based on merit score, the minimum eligibility criteria to apply is candidate must secure 50% in their last qualifying exam.

To be eligible for admission to the Second Year BA programme, a candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Students who have completed their First-Year BA under the annual pattern system must have passed all subjects or have an ATKT (Allowed To Keep Term) in up to two subjects.
  • Students who have completed their First-Year BA under the semester pattern system of affiliated colleges of the University of Mumbai must have an ATKT only if they failed in not more than two subjects in each semester I and II. Candidates can get admission at HCAS Chennai for a BA course by fulfilling the required eligibility criteria. The selection at HCAS Chennai is merit-based. Candidates should be Resident/Non-Resident Indian Nationals, have completed Class 12 from any recognised board, and have an age limit of 21 years as of 1 July of the year of admission.
