The BA (Hons.) Political Science at LPU is a three-year, six semester undergraduate programme covering core areas such as political theory, Indian government, Western thought, comparative politics, public administration, international relations and contemporary issues. Students also engage in electives like research methodology, gender studies, conflict resolution and internships. The course is structured to develop analytical, communication and critical thinking skills, with exposure to seminars, guest lectures and field projects. Admission requires at least 50–60% in class 12 and may include LPUNEST. Placements average 5–7 LPA, with internships in NGOs, think tanks, media and civil service prep support.

Shri Shikshayatan college, a college under university of Calcutta, admits students under BA Sociology course mainly on merit basis in the qualifying examination (marks in Class 12th). When you want cheap courses on BA Political Science the colleges of Delhi University (DU) in Delhi are by far the cheapest (fees very low, eg often 15000-60000 of the entire 3 year course, sometimes as low as 7000-10000 rupees per year, e.g. in colleges such as Deshbandhu, or even 21390 as a total in the courses at DU SOL). These are the government bodies whereby CUET is the major change of admission to these colleges such as Dyal Singh, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma colleges etc. Government Post Graduate College, Noida is a local option in Noida at lower fees (approximately 7760 per year BA fees), but otherwise only the local parties deliver at fees which are lower than at DU, the exception being the "free-colleges" of the vocational GED kind in Delhi and elsewhere.
