No, it is not compulsory to do B.Com for CA. One can enroll for CA (Chartered Accountant Course) just after completing his Plus two through CPT route ( Entrance exam for CA course).

You can also pursue courses like Chartered Accountancy along with your B.Com (honours. ). The course is similar to B.Com (H). The difference lies in the fact that you can specialize in a certain subjects in B.Com (H), but the B.Com (P) course gives you an overview of all those subjects taught in the honours course.

Both BBA and B.Com offer similar career Opportunity. If students are willing to do an MBA, then BBA might be the better option. But if the students interested to become a CA CS or CFA then B.Com will be a better option for students. BBA is a 3 year undergraduate degree level course.

Since getting into Iims is for a class which has millions of students, the average student is probably a 6 pointer. Well, 15% of IIM Calcutta Batch of 2019 are 6 pointers or worse. So, yes, IIM Calcutta has a lot of average students considering only academics. But, an average student cannot make it to IIM Calcutta.

Hi Abhishek, According to the best of my knowledge, I would like to suggest you that both BBA and B.Com have their own merits. It depends entirely on your interest before choosing either of the courses. If making a career in management is your priority, then you should go for BBA as it is the foundation of management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants. B.Com on the other hand, is much more diversified and has a wider scope for specialisation for post-graduate study.

Hi, There are plenty of professional courses available for you to choose from. For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do is go for B.Com then M.Com and then maybe Ph.D. or professor. There's also an option to go for CA CS CMA and at times LL.B. The mainstay of commerce students for quite sometime now. You can also look for various certification courses conducted by many institution across the country. If you wanna go for MBA, that's also a nice option. You can also go for enhancing your skills like learning computer or english language so as to make you marketable in the future.
