The eligibility for the B.E. / B.Tech course from Jaya Engineering College at Thiruninravur, Chennai, expects that students have completed 10+2 education through core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and come from a recognised board. Primarily the entrance exam performance of candidates forms the basis of selecting them for B.E./B.Tech courses offered by A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology or ARJCET. Except in a few courses, students need to attend counseling based on TNEA in most of the B.E./B.Tech courses, after class 12 board exams. The selection criteria for B.E. or B.Tech courses at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) in Davangere, Karnataka is as follows:

The candidates shall be eligible for admission into B.E. / B.Tech in Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur, if they passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects securing the minimum required percentage for admission. For most courses, general category students must get around 50%, and that for reserved categories must be lesser. The major factor to get admitted is MHT CET or JEE Main. Candidates must also be in line with additional standards set by the college and the Maharashtra State Government.
