For candidates seeking admission under the Tamil Nadu state quota, the admission process is carried out through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) based on the candidate's Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with no separate entrance exam required. The score of JEE Main will be taken into consideration for candidates applying under All India quota. The college follows the reservation policy of Tamil Nadu government in respect to SC, ST, OBC, and other categories.

The basic requirement offered while the admission in B.E./B.Tech at St. Peter's Engineering College is the compulsory 10+2 examination and they must have scored 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) for the general category and 40% for the reserved category they will be considered eligible for the admission in the college. The requirement in12thstandard mark for B.E./B.Tech at KJ's Educational Institute is that the candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in PCM for general category candidates and 45% marks for reserve categories. Also, the candidate must have appeared for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or the joint entrance examination (JEE) Main. The institute also accepts candidates who had appeared for the Diploma in Engineering and Technology examination and secured 50% marks. The institute offers 600 intakes in B.E./B.Tech and 70% of the seats are admitted through Centralized Admission Process and rest through management seat.
