There is no such major differences between B.A. In mass communication and B.J. M. C. (Bachelor's in journalism and mass communication). The course duration is three years. What differs is the number of subjects and the pattern of course. Visit: https://www.nimcj.org/bjmc.html
Bachelor of Journalism and mass communication is a specific graduate programme designed for this field whereas Bachelor of Arts has included mass communication courses along with various other courses of this stream.

Their Bachelors and Masters level degree programme are recognised by UGC. So yes the BJMC degree will be valid for IIMC / Jamia / or any other college in India.
