India is an agricultural country & its future will still depend on it for decades to come. India has still miles to go to be on par with other Asian countries- not to speak of developed countries. And therefore it definitely had a bright future. Remember the former is a professional course as compared to latter & therefore has its own inherent advantages.

I am a student freon Biology stream. So, I can surely say that geology and botany have more scope in India. Yes, you can study B.Sc. Geology after completion of your Diploma Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Candidates who have passed three years Diploma in Electronics course are eligible to get lateral entry admission in second year of three years B.Sc. Zoology course.

There are many other area where you can work like mineralogy, volcanology, hydrology or oceanography. Those working in environmental geology can work for private companies or consulting firms to help them in manage water resources. Hi Abhishek,
Eligibility for B.Sc. In Geology. The basic criterion of eligibility needed to be met for admission to the course is a Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent qualification from a recognised educational Board, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and/ or Math as main subjects and a minimum aggregate score of 55%.
